Taciturn loner, Behrouz, a former radio operator having served in the Iran/Iraq war, meets up with his long lost cousin, Hamid, a flamboyant, unemployed telecommunications engineer.
They decide to make some money installing satellite dishes in private homes. Such an activity, though potentially lucrative, is dangerous, because illegal.
The uneventful life of the now inseparable cousins follows its course until one day……..

Director’s statement:
Despite their interdiction satellite dishes abound in Tehran where the authorities periodically arrest and condemn offenders.
A character came to mind, Behrouz, who, having carried out his duty as a radio operator during the Iran/Iraq war, returns to civilian life looking for similar work. However, the installation of satellite dishes has since become illegal.
A second character is Hamid, Behrouz’s telecoms cousin, who left his home town in search of a better life in the capital.
Our heroes find it difficult scraping a living in the huge, noisy city of Tehran, forced to work from dawn to dusk to earn a pittance.
I hope to have given both a poetic and human aspect to this tale of lost souls, a portrait of two sensitive human beings whose songs of solitude ring out in the vastness of the city.

Who does what ?
Behrouz Jalili (Behrouz)
Had previously acted in a few independently produced short films. This was sadly his first and last big role having been killed in an accident shortly after filming.
Hamid Habibifar (Hamid)
Is a brilliant student in his final year of accountancy. Sassan, my brother, the executive producer, introduced me to him and I was struck by his personality from the very first screen test.
A wonderful talent able to accomplish the role with great aplomb despite his disabilities.
Mojtaba Bitarafan (Hassan Tanakora)
Has already played minor roles in various television series, but his veritable trade is as director’s assistant and programmer.
Mohammad Fassihi (Taxi driver)
Has the same job in real life.
Mohammad Reza Salour (Landlord)
My father, retired from the army, who has acted in almost all my films whether features or shorts.
Maryam Sabaghian (La Cliente / Customer)
Has acted in two films for television but is make-up artist by profession.
