Behzad Farahat

Biography:
BEHZAD FARAHAT was born in 1969 in Tehran, Iran. After six years of medical studies at the City’s University, he turned towards art and his true passion, animated films, in 1988. Although having attended art school in both Tehran and England, he is essentially self-taught. In 2005 he left for Canada for two years before returning to Iran to continue work at the ‘Sabzeh  Ghaba’ studio.
He has appeared as both actor and presenter on Iranian TV, and obtained the ‘Golden Microphone Award’ in 2004.
Five of his shorts have been released in France in two collections by ‘Les Films du Whippet‘:
Le petit monde de Bahador‘ and ‘L’Ecureuil qui voyait tout en vert
