Fatemeh Goudarzi

Biography:
Born in Tehran in 1974, Fatemeh Goudarzi is a graduate from Painting in Art & Architecture Faculty in Tehran. She has started her activities in KANOON since 1996 and worked as assistant director in some animated films such as « Maryam », « The Longest Journey of the World » and « Rain of Happiness ».
The Farmer & The Cow is her first work as a director.

Behzad Farahat

Biography:
BEHZAD FARAHAT was born in 1969 in Tehran, Iran. After six years of medical studies at the city’s university, he turned towards art and his true passion, animated films, in 1988. Although having attended art school in both Tehran and England, he is essentially self-taught. In 2005 he left for Canada for two years before returning to Iran to continue work at the « Sabz-e Ghaba » studio.
He has appeared as both actor and presenter on Iranian TV, and obtained the “Golden Microphone” award in 2004.
Five of his shorts have been released in France in two collections by « Les Films du Whippet »:
« Le petit monde de Bahador » and « L’Ecureuil qui voyait tout en vert »

Shahram Alidi

BIOGRAPHY:
Shahram Alidi was born on 11th December, 1971 in Sanandaj,  Iranian Kurdistan. He is an Iranian film director, screenwriter, and film producer.
He is also a painter, illustrator, and graphic designer. Alidi is part of that generation of filmmakers known as the ‘Iranian New Wave’. Such filmmakers share many techniques, including the use of poetic dialogue and allegorical story lines.
Alidi’s 2009 first feature, ‘Whisper with the Wind’, was selected for the Critics’ Week section at the Cannes International Film Festival where it won several awards. It went on to win many others at following international festivals.

Esmaeel Monsef

Biography:
Esmaeel Monsef, born in Iran in 1976, is a graduate of the Behandish Cinema School of Tehran. A founding member of the Association of Independent Iranian Filmakers, he has edited over 40 shorts, documentaries and features and received numerous festival awards for his first short film, ‘OYAN’.

Saman Salour

Saman Salour was born in Boroujerd, Iran in 1976 and graduated in Film Direction from the Soureh Cinema School in Tehran. He started his career as a filmmaker by making films at the Iranian Young Cinema Society.
He has been the assistant director and programmer of three long features and made a number of shorts and documentaries for TV.
